Artist: Joseph Alegrett II

I have literally hung with movie stars and rock stars, and still do from time to time. All the way to having been an extra in five (5) major motion picture movies, to having appeared regularly as an extra in two (2) weekly television series. I've owned eight (8) of my own tattoo and piercing studios at once to as well as, owning partnerships in five (5) very different and varied bars and nightclubs. Presently now however, I enjoy very much not having any worries or headaches to take home with me on a daily bases. I have been blessed to have the privilege and honor to execute my skilled trade and craft along side of a variety of talented group of individuals and true artists here in Chicago at Uptown's world famous Tattoo Factory. I moved to Chicago about 2 years ago, via Wisconsin, via San Francisco, via Washington DC. and I must say it has been a learning, growing, and at times a bit trying experience. I made a life altering choice dropping out of Georgetown University, Medical School where I was just about to commence my second year of residency. I decided that I wanted to be a body-piercer. I have been piercing and executing my trade in body modifications since 1990. For those old school folks who might remember, I first got hooked way back when, since the days of Jim Ward and the days of the Gauntlet and Piercing, Inc and good old Uncle AL (may he rest in peace) from Body Circle Design. I miss hanging out and exchanging thoughts, ideas and notes, not to mention the industry gossip with good real, true rock stars within our industry such as folks like Erik Dakota, Elaine Angel from Rings of Desire, Alicia Cardenas from Twisted Soul, Jessica from St. Sabrina's, Uncle Sky Renfro, Clancy from Clan Tattoo, Allan Faulkner, Renzo Cubas, John Durantes, Greg from Palm Springs Piercing Co., Brian from Cold Steel, Phillip from Brain Drops and the list is endless. Also all those people who worked, strived and never gave up for legislation to set and maintain higher standards for our industry in continued education and in providing a safe, sane, sterile and less chaotic world within our own provocative industry. I am a body modification artist "NOT" just a body piercer. I have performed a variety of body modifications from suspensions, scarifications, brandings, saline injections, and ear lobe re-attachments. Read my reviews on www.yelp.com.
The best advice I could ever pass on to anyone and more so to a client would be, "Just don't forget to breath!"
Please feel free to contact me, with any questions, needs, or special modification services, as well as concerns, you may have.
