Kelly Severtson is a Midwest native that grew up dreaming of someday living in the great city of Chicago. His travels have taken him far away from home to see the bright lights and quiet spaces of many different places, but he's glad to be back in the middle of the country.
As a relatively young tattoo artist, he's honored to be working in a shop with so much history and character. Growing up, Kelly's mother and father were both artists. So he naturally grew up expressing himself artistically. While in art school, he fell in love with tattooing and learned to tattoo.
Kelly's style is very illustrative and he works hard to bring his love for color into agreement with the principals of traditional tattooing. He likes black and gray. He likes realism. He likes fine lines and thick lines. But more than anything, he likes to translate that thought in your head into an image that will look great forever.
